Don’t make these mistakes after your botox treatment

So, you have just finished your first ever botox treatment and can’t wait to see the outcome. Including, there are a number of volitional recommendations for the preparatory period before going back to normal life that should be followed in order to facilitate the effect. In this blog post, we’ll explain some of the common errors people make after their botox treatment and how you can prevent them.

To summarize, one of the blunders people do and one of the boons they get in the first place is touching the affected parts of the face. As you had gotten a treatment done on your face including botox, it is natural to want to rub or massage the treated area but this should not be done. After surgery, face touching and face washing must be avoided for 24 hours because it hinders the botox settling in.

Another mistake is exercising too strenuously too soon after the botox treatment, which many people tend to do. While exercising, blood circulation intensifies, and sweating is also possible; both can move the botox to places that it shouldn’t be. It was suggested that strenuous exercising should be avoided for a period of at least 24 hours following the treatment in order to allow the judiciary to stay in position reasonably well. However, activities such as walking and mild stretching could be done, but anything that will result in excess sweating should be avoided.

Also, alcohol consumption should be avoided for patients who have undergone botox treatment. Alcohol can lead to thinning of the ball and hence the bruising at the injured side, thereby impairing the efficiency of the botox for taking place. It is therefore advisable to refrain from partaking alcoholic drinks for at least a day after the treatment.

Finally, the other error is severe heat exposure, especially from the sun in the days right after the botox treatment. Sun heats the treated area by increasing blood flow and causing swelling which can dictate how well the botox will be in shape. It is better to keep away from saunas, hot baths, or even direct sunlight for at least a day after the treatment so that the good work on the skin is not wasted.

Finally, forgetting to care for your skin after the procedure can also affect the overall results of the treatment. Most providers don’t just leave the patients after the surgery but give them further instructions which include the application of certain products or not using certain ingredients that may be harmful to their skin. Adherence to post treatment protocols can equally be helpful for the patients as sufficing the attending requirements maximizes the outcome and leaves the skin better many days post procedure.

As already mentioned without telling why people seek botox treatment for the first time, it would be appropriate to say that there is no other way to tighten and ‘renew’ the skin. Following all the recommendations for aftercare, following all the necessary conditions, so as not to violate the integrity of the skin, not to go to the sauna, not to take alcoholic beverages, do not practice vigorous physical activity and other amoeba tabloids, will help you fully appreciate the advantages gained from the procedure. Moreover, since everyone’s skin and body reaction to such procedures is individual, it’s better to check with your doctor if certain concerns do arise and whether they are worth taking into account all of them.
